Sticky notes is a tool that enables you to leave an informative note on either the coaching or drop-in form.
This allows you to send reminders about areas of focus or development, specific things to look for or anything else that you might want to share with your coaching team and teachers.
How to create a new sticky note
1. Click "Manage"
2. Click "Manage sticky notes"
3. This is where you can view and create sticky notes. A list of any previously created sticky notes (active and inactive) will be displayed here.
You are able to create and post sticky notes for drop-ins and coaching. Please see below examples of when they might be used.
Sticky notes for drop-ins: As a school lead, you might want staff to complete peer drop-ins that focus on a specific area of teaching (e.g., questioning, class discussion, instructions). Creating a sticky note can help remind staff of specific elements of teaching to look out for in their drop-ins, and support them in constructing high quality and focused feedback.
Sticky notes for coaching: You might also want to support coaches to script high-quality coaching feedback. Again, sticky notes can be used to provide guidance and reminders on what to include.
4. To create a new sticky note, click "Create new sticky note"
5. Add a title or short summary of what the sticky note will include.
6. Add a more detailed message for your staff.
7. You can attach any relevant files to share with your teachers and coaches.
8. If you want your sticky note to appear permanently, click here.
9. Alternatively you can add a date range for when you want the sticky note to be active.
10. Choose whether you want the sticky note to be visible in drop-in forms, coaching forms or both.
11. Choose which roles you want to be able to see the sticky note, such as just users with the role of SLT. If you leave blank all users will be able to see the sticky note.
12. Click "Create"
How will the sticky note appear within drop-ins and coaching forms?
13. Once you have created a sticky note and it is active, the relevant users will be able to see it within their drop in or coaching forms in the top right corner. Initially only the title or short summary will appear.
14. If they click on the sticky note, the full note will appear.
